An oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city We assure you that Spring is on the way and invite you, when shopping in St. Albans, to take a break and drop in to the Café for a refreshing cup of tea or coffee and a piece of one of our delicious homemade cakes or scones or a toasted tea cake. If you have time to spare or want to catch up with a friend then pop in for a leisurely lunch and try one of our jacket potatoes (choice of fillings) or a tasty toasted sandwich. If the day is chilly then warm up with a bowl of soup and a roll and butter. Trying to lose that Christmas weight – then try one of our salads. Nothing is too much trouble for our helpful, friendly, cheerful staff – Cheryl Caroline and Sue, ably assisted by volunteers from the church each day. We are open Monday – Saturday 10.00am to 2.00pm. If you are alone and in need of some conversation then our Welcomer will be pleased to chat with you. There are quiet tables too. Keep up with the latest Baptist news by reading this week’s Baptist Times or browse through one of the Christian magazines, all available on the tables in the soft seating area. Want to know what is happening locally both in churches and in St. Albans then try the notice boards and the carousel by the main door or ask at the desk, we will be delighted to help you. Do drop in soon – we look forward to meeting you. Julia Plant – (Manager)
